I am an undergraduate electrical engineer focusing in environmental resilience
This website is an opportunity to get to know me and my professional goals and experience. I have dedicated my academic and professional work towards developing my electrical engineering skills to help support environmental technology development to benefit environmental restoration and remediation efforts.
My name is Sofia Echavarria (they/she) and I am a senior in the College of Engineering at Cornell University majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am graduating in December 2024.
My professional and academic interests lie in the intersection between elevtrical and environmental engineering. I have seen the need for electrical engineers in environmental remediation projects when managing sensors, developing technology deployment plans, data management and troubleshooting any electronics implementation. In my experience working with RMS Energy Consulting and Arcadis, both environmental engineering consulting companies, I have been able to help with testing, development and implementation of a variety of emerging technology to support various environmental remediation efforts.
